COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Fair was awarded the Greater Ohio Showmen’s Association Best Fair in Ohio for 2018 at the OFMA Spring District 7 and 8 Spring Meeting held April 6.

“The board was honored to receive this award,” said Seth Dotson who is a member of the senior fairboard. “It truly goes to show that Coshocton has one of the best county fairs in the state.”

He credited the community for helping make this award possible.

“It is with their support that we as a fairboard are able to make our fair what it is and able to be considered for this award,” Dotson said.

The association chooses a fair each year for the award.

“The award means that we are doing something right,” Dotson said. “We will continue to strive to make the fair the best that it can be. We want people to be able to take pride in knowing that our small town fair ranks right up there with the best of them. We hope that when people discover the award, it will make them want to come and attend our fair to see why we were ranked the best for 2018.”
