Coshocton Elementary hosts father/daughter dance
COSHOCTON – It was a magical night on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Coshocton Elementary School as girls walked into the gymnasium on the arms of their fathers. The second annual father/daughter dance was a success and both fathers and daughters came out in their finest for the big event. The event is hosted by the Coshocton High School cheerleaders.
“Some of them go out with their dad and they go to dinner and get their nails done and they just love it,” said Taylor Smith, senior cheerleader.
Before the dance started, the girls had the opportunity to have their picture taken by Lenzo Studio and then enjoyed a snack with their dads before hitting the dance floor.
“I’m really excited for it and to dance with the kids,” said MyKaela Euton, senior cheerleader. “It’s exciting to see how happy they are and it was nice to see them come in.”
Chad Oliver attended the dance with his daughter, Haylee Oliver.
“I’m looking forward to just making memories with my daughter,” he said.
Aubree Bantum attended the dance with her father, Brett Bantum. She said she was most excited about getting her picture taken with her dad. Brett was looking forward to dancing with his daughter.
“I’ve never got a chance to dance with the prettiest girl in the school,” he said.
