Coshocton Footlight Players extend auditions

| July 15, 2014

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Footlight Players are extending auditions for the upcoming fall musical production of “The Marvelous Wonderettes”. Directed by Susan Gordon, with musical direction by Jane Crow, this cotton-candy, non-stop pop musical takes the audience to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where we meet the Marvelous Wonderettes – four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts, and voices to match. We learn about their lives and loves accompanied by the girls performing classic 50’s and 60’s pop songs. The second act takes place 10 years later at their class reunion.

Auditions for four female characters, ages 18-28 who must sing and dance throughout, will be held Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m. at The Mentoring Center of Coshocton County, located at 410 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Coshocton, directly above Golden’s Clothing.

The Marvelous Wonderettes is produced by Denny Blandford, with the permission of Steele Spring Theatrical Licensing. Production dates are scheduled for Sept. 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27.

For more information, contact the director, Susan Gordon, at 545-9462.
