Coshocton man hurt in UTV accident

On Nov. 15, 2020 at approximately 3:27 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an ATV accident on County Road 1A near US Rt 36.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was found that a UTV had rolled onto its side and trapped the driver, 51 year old Matthew Edie of Coshocton. Emergency personnel freed Edie and he was flown to Akron General Hospital.

Assisting at the scene was the Three Rivers Fire District, Coshocton County EMS, and MedFlight. Edie’s condition is not known at this time. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in this accident, which remains under investigation.
