The newly formed Ohio Extreme Soccer Club here in Coshocton and home based out of the Kids America sports complex has found success once again at a major youth tournament in Central Ohio. The soccer club currently field’s teams for both boys and girls in the age groups of u9-u11 in competitive traveling soccer, and has a juniors program for u8’s locally at Kids America. The club is adding age groups currently for the spring of 2021 for girls and boys u12-u14 and filling open roster spots for all active teams.
Some of the teams qualified and played in the Mid Ohio Select Soccer Fall Championships Oct 24-25. Teams consist of a mixture of players from all corners of the surrounding areas, kids from Coshocton, West Lafayette, Warsaw, Dresden, Cambridge, Millersburg, Newcomerstown, New Concord, and Zanesville. Teams that played in the tournament were 2012/13 girls team, 2011 boys team, and 2010/11 girls team.

The 2012/13 girls team was in its first season of competition and combined a roster from two of the clubs teams, 2012 girls and 2013 girls rosters for the tournament. They had a spectacular showing and were extremely competitive. The 2010/11 girls team went 2-1 in the u11 girls division and qualified for the championship with wins over Dublin DSX, and New Albany’s Freedom SC. In the final they played a tough Northwest FC girls team from Hilliard and came in as runner-up in the u11 division capping off the most successful season to date for the team. The 2011 Boys team tallied a record of 3-0 with wins over Northwest FC, Upper Arlington and Mt Vernon on their way to the u10 championship game. Meeting a tough Lancaster Select team, and with a late goal in the second half they had to go to extra time. Ohio Extreme came out on top with a goal late in the second overtime period to win 3-2, finishing the tournament with an unbeaten record. The 2011 Boys team also won the Hopewell Cup earlier this year and the regular season league title in the first year of competition in the MOSSL League with a 6-1 record which also was the most successful season to date.
