Newly elected sheriff Jim Crawford recently hit his first hole in one. He was playing with Steve Walsh, Mark Schrock, Jim Priest, and Chuck Ellis on Nov. 8 at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mount Vernon. His shot occurred on the 139 yard par three hole number 12 with his 8 iron. It was an uphill hole so the group couldn’t actually see the ball go into the hole until they got to the green and saw it in the cup.
