Creno’s Pizza opens in Downtowner Plaza

| October 17, 2017

COSHOCTON – Creno’s Pizza is now open in the Downtowner Plaza in Coshocton. Manager Ryan Haynes said the opening was the biggest Creno’s Pizza opening he has ever seen and so far, they have crushed both daily and weekly sales records.

“It’s been so busy, we can’t send enough stuff through,” he said. “The dining room has been full and people are waiting out the door.”

Haynes owns both the Coshocton Creno’s Pizza location and one in New Concord. He grew up on a 300-acre family farm in New Concord. His grandfather started the Shegog IGA which was later taken over by Hayne’s uncle for 40 years. Haynes’ father also ran a furniture store for 30 years. Haynes worked with his uncle at the IGA for 10 years and also worked with his dad at the furniture store ever since he was little.

Haynes graduated from Muskingum University and was a professor at Zane State College for six years. He also worked through college at Creno’s Pizza and has been with them for 16 years.

“It’s been truly amazing,” he said. “We’re blessed to have such a great community over here.”

Haynes and his partner also remodeled the building at 315 Downtowner Plaza with hand-made, Amish-crafted items.

Creno’s Pizza offers delivery, carry-out, and dine-in. They also carry Conn’s potato chips and feature a Pepsi Flavor Shot. They are open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. A grand opening is in the works but no official date has been set as of press time. They can be reached at 740-295-9611.
