Dance helps Keene PTO raise funds

| February 13, 2017

DSC_0015COSHOCTON – The PTO at Keene Elementary put together what they said was the first ever father daughter dance for River View schools. “We have about 142 girls in the school and about half of them came,” said Morgan Hammond, PTO president. “My heart is on overload right now. This is awesome. I never imagined this for our first year.” The school’s gym was full of fathers and daughters dancing, having fun and enjoying refreshments. Jillian Johnson’s favorite part of the evening was dancing with her stepfather Allen Angle. Proceeds from the dance will help the PTO with updates to the school’s playground.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
