McPherson2COSHOCTON- David Aaron “Dave” McPherson, 49, of North St., died Thursday Jan. 2, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born April 16, 1964 in Coshocton to Russ and Sarah “Sally” (Thornsley) McPherson.  He was a 1983 graduate of Coshocton High School.  He was an employee of the Coshocton County Maintenance Department since 2008.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, and helping with race cars.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly (Zimmer) McPherson, whom he married April 20, 1985, six children; Trevor (Tiffany) Sampsel, Jeremy (Jessica) Sampsel, Kelly Jo (Cory) Salmon, Erin (Beezer) Tausch, Jessy (Jerry) Tennant, and Kelsey (Scott) McPherson, seven grandchildren; Tristan, Anika, Aydan, Zoey, Xavier, Cambria, and Ayzin, his mother, Sally Archer, grandmother, Ethel Gross, step-mother, Viola McPherson, fathers-in-law & mothers-in-law; Gary & Linda Zimmer and Janet & Tom Lawrence, brothers and sisters; Jody (Mark) Phillips, Teddy (Hope) Archer, Loyde (Kelly) McPherson, Kelly Hilson, Keller McPherson, and Debbie (Bill) Clark,  brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; Gary & Sandy Zimmer, and Travis & Kelly Zimmer, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Russ McPherson, father, Joe Archer, brother, Rusty McPherson, sister, Sally “Sis” Archer, grandson, Brysen Tennant, two grandfathers; Fred Thornsley & Ted Gross, and Grandma Archer.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday Jan. 6, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Cremation will take place following the service.  Calling hours are from 4:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
