Dean Border

Dean Border, 91, of West Lafayette, formerly of Heath, Ohio went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Lafayette Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  God’s Word says in Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”.

Dean was born on February 12, 1932 in Bascom, Ohio to the late Jason and Chloe (Haugh) Border. He graduated Hopewell-Louden High School, Bascom, 1950. He employed at Erie Army Depot, Port Clinton, Ohio then Newark Air Force Station, where he retired in 1987.  He served in the Army from January 1952 – August 1953 with a tour of duty in Korea.

On August 3, 1952 he married the love of his life, Barbara Mae Naugle, who survives. Also surviving are his children Betty Lu Jackson,  Yana Marie (Tim) Vogelmeier, Larry (Carrie), John (Susan), and Timothy (Kimberly); 15 grandchildren; 16 great grand children; and one great great grandchild.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Clayton, Dale, Don, Nevin, and Thelma; son-in-law Terry Jackson.

Memorial service at the Victory Baptist Church, 355 Browns Lane, Coshocton on Saturday, August 19, 2023.  Friends may call from 10:00am – 11:00 with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Ralph Johnson officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be directed towards the Victory Baptist Church or Interim Hospice of Coshocton.
