Delbra Darlene Hughes

Delbra Darlene Hughes, 57, of Coshocton, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Thursday, January 27, 2022.  She was born in Coshocton on January 8, 1965 to the late Delbert D. Hughes and Jean Ellen (Finnell) Hughes.

Upon graduating in 1983 from River View High School, Delbra worked for several years at Buehler’s in the bakery before becoming a weaver for The Longaberger Basket Company and later Krasky Baskets.  She went on to become an STNA and enjoyed caring for patients at Coshocton Regional Medical Center.  Her last job was for Dile’s Faithful Cleaning.  She was a hard worker and took great pride in her work.

Delbra’s love of sports began with playing on the 1982 River View State Champion Basketball Team.  She was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Michigan and The Ohio State Football and Basketball teams, as well as the NFL.

Delbra attended NewPointe Community Church.  Her hobbies included camping, fishing, boating, bowling, and riding her Harley.  She was an animal-lover, especially dogs.

Delbra is survived by her daughter, O’Del Lonsinger (Jake Huey) of Coshocton, Grandson Hunter Hoy and Baby Huey expected in April; Siblings: B. Lynn (Jon) Els of Warsaw, Alicia Hughes Wilson of New Castle, Kenton (John Becker) Young of Cape Coral, FL, Estella (David) Juneau of Zachary, LA, O’Dell Wallace of Lafayette, LA, Barbara (Timothy) Lynch of Navarre, FL, Bernice Hughes of Lafayette, LA, and Carolyn Jean Smith of Fredericksburg; numerous nieces and nephews, including Matt (Elivia) Els of Alexandria, Emily (Radin) Els Mathew of Englewood, Amanda (Christian) Grove of New Albany, Lydia Rose Els of Englewood, and Kendra (Justin Sr.) Alexander of Dayton; and an Uncle Reuben (Nancy) Finnell of Ravenna.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Russell “Chip” Young Jr., and sister Donna Kay Miller.

The family would like to especially thank the healthcare professionals who cared for Delbra during her 9-year battle with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease as a result of Type 1 Diabetes.

Due to winter weather, services for Delbra have been rescheduled… Visiting hours will now be held on SATURDAY, FEB. 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home, 412 East Main Street, Warsaw, OH 43844. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Phil Spriggs officiating.  Private burial will take place at South Lawn Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
