Deputies make stop in high speed pursuit

On July 23, 2024, at approximately 8:27 p.m. The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office of a pursuit entering the county on CR 19 in Clark Township.

Coshocton deputies joined the pursuit on SR 83 near CR 24 traveling southbound. The vehicle turned westbound on US 36 and continued toward Warsaw reaching speeds of 90 MPH. Deputies were able to successfully deploy spike strips just before Warsaw on US 36 that deflated the passenger tires. The vehicle continued westbound through Warsaw on US 36 at slower speeds. The vehicle attempted to make a right hand turn onto TR 340 when deputies were able to bring the vehicle to a stop. The male driver was taken into custody by Holmes County. A female passenger was released on scene.

The driver’s information is being withheld pending charges.

Assisting at the scene was the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
