Deputies respond to fight at McElwee Park

NEWCASTLE – On Oct. 23, at approximately 6:12 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a male and a female fighting at McElwee Park in Newcastle.

The female 911 caller advised that she was fighting with her suicidal boyfriend and was attempting to get a gun away from him. Before deputies arrived on scene the male subject fled the area on foot into a wooded area surrounding the park.

Deputy Stone and his K9 partner Henata arrived on scene and began to search the area. After a brief track the male subject was located and transported by Coshocton County EMS to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
