Dinner on the Farm coming up
COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Farm Bureau will proudly present the Second annual Dinner on the Farm, an elegant and unique benefit dinner, held on a local grain and swine farm. The purpose of this Saturday, Aug. 17 event is to raise funds jointly for the Coshocton County 4-H Endowment Fund and Coshocton County Agricultural Impact Fund. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated equally between the two programs, which are both celebrating 100 years in 2019, an achievement that few organizations ever achieve.
The Coshocton County 4-H Endowment Fund provides grants and scholarships to benefit the Coshocton community and the 4-H program. In previous years, the fund has provided grants for picnic tables, barn improvements, annual scholarships, the 4-H Robotics Team and Real Money Real World just to name a few.
The Coshocton County Agricultural Impact Fund is a fund established by the Coshocton County Farm Bureau board of trustees to provide grants to applying recipients for agricultural education programming. To date, Farm Bureau has supported FFA members attending leadership programs in Washington, D.C. and helped provide funding for the updated pens in the poultry barn.
The second goal of this event is to entertain our guests with amazing food and help promote the connection of food to agriculture in Coshocton County. A silent auction will be held during the event and a live auction will follow dinner.
A social hour will begin at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Use the link to purchase tickets or sponsor the event: https://ofbf.org/events/coshocton-county-dinner-farm/.
