Dinner theater planned in Newcomerstown

The Newcomerstown Historical Society will present the Olde Main Street Players in “Mobsters Menu for Murder” a play by Steve Long.

The play is set in 1943 and the village of Newcomerstown is holding a street fair to raise money for war bonds. Suddenly, a group of mobsters, the Gelato Gang, crashes the party, having gotten lost on the way to New York City. Chaos ensues and gets even worse when the leader gets “wacked.” Everyone has a motive, and everyone is a suspect. Fortunately, a detective has been trailing the gang, but he may need some assistance.

The audience will be given the opportunity to help solve the case of The Mobster’s Menu for Murder.

The event will be held Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, with social hour, dinner and a show for $35. The Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center is located at 213 W. Canal Street in Newcomerstown. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Solve the murder, win fabulous prizes come dressed as a gangster or floozy win fabulous prizes.
