| June 5, 2017

Sammons, Dollie001COSHOCTON – After a short, brave battle of illness our beautiful Mother, Dollie Sammons, 77, earned her wings to heaven June 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born Aug. 10, 1939 to the late Ed and Bithie (Cottongim) Collins.  She married Oblee “Butch” Sammons Sr. on Dec. 6, 1957, who preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2016 after nearly 60 years of marriage.

Dollie’s world consisted of her children, her family, and traveling with her husband, our Dad. Teaching us, and showing us what love is between her and our Dad. She had unconditional love for her children. We are blessed forever for them both.

Leaving behind to grieve her departure, but to celebrate her reunion with our Dad are her children, Edward Lee Sammons, William Lee (Ann) Sammons, Oblee “Butch” (Tonya) Sammons Jr. , all of Coshocton, and Laura “Lynn” (Mike) Clay of Florida; forty-two grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and eight siblings.

In addition to her parents and husband to greet her, she was preceded in death by two infant children; a brother, and two grandsons.

Thank you so much to all of our family and friends for all of your thoughts and prayers. Special thanks to Community Hospice of Coshocton Co.  for all of your loving care for our Mother on this journey.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
