Donald Duane Hood

Donald Duane Hood, 64, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away at his home on Sunday May 22, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born December 14, 1957, in Zanesville, he was the only son of the late David and Ethel Yvonne Hood. He was a graduate of the Tri-Valley High School class of 1976. Don was a frame technician at Ervin Auto Body in Newark, Ohio for 25 years and later drove trucks for Ervin and Sons Construction. He was a member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School and VBS classes. His family meant everything to him.

Surviving are three sons, Derrick (Amy) Hood, of Columbia, TN, Dustan (Casey) Hood of Bellville, OH, and Jared (Megan) Hood, of Nashport, OH; two daughters, Heidi (Van) Adams, of La Grange, NC, and Katelyn Coats, of Columbus, Ohio; two step-daughters, Angela (Dennis) Summers of Etna, Ohio and Traci Liggett of Dresden, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, Chaye Lucas, Taya Woerner, Amanda Hood, Keegan Hood, Jacob Fisher, Jacob Ramsey, Aidon Robinson, Taylin Woerner, Neveah Hood, Emerson Summers, Isaac Adams, Tylie Hood, Eli Adams, Deryn Summers, Lynden Summers, Alonnie Coats, Brenna Robinson, Branson Robinson, Beau Hood, Talyia Hood, Savannah Hood; one great grandchild due in August; two sisters, Leslie (Mike) Bebout, of Coshocton, Ohio and Ida (Bob) Lewis, of Frazeysburg, Ohio; two special dogs, King and Xena.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his wife Karla, whom he couldn’t wait to reunite with in Paradise.

Public calling hours will be 10:00 am -11:00 am Saturday May 28, 2022, at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street Coshocton, Ohio.

A private graveside funeral service for immediate family members will follow.
