Donald P. “Buddy” Davis Jr.

Donald P. “Buddy” Davis Jr., age 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He was born on July 24, 1949, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Donald P. and Dorothy (Blizzard) Davis Sr. Buddy was a 1968 graduate of East Knox High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was an active member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church in Warsaw.

Buddy was given God’s gift to create, sing, and speak. He used those talents to his best ability as he was an accomplished artist, singer, songwriter, and speaker. Buddy traveled all over the United States sharing his many talents.

He was instrumental in the Creation Museum in Kentucky where many of his handcrafted dinosaurs are on display and was also influential in the Ministry of Answers in Genesis where he produced many cd’s and dvd’s. Buddy was gifted by his God and wanted to share those talents with others.

He is survived by his wife, Kay (Booth) Davis whom he married on April 28, 1973, and a daughter, Lydia of Petersburg, Kentucky.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a good friend, Pastor David Fowls.

Friends may call on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Perry Baptist Church, 19476 Township Road 380, Warsaw, Ohio 43844 where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Bob Adelsperger will be officiating. Burial will follow in Perry Chapel Cemetery.
