Donald R. Lipps

COSHOCTON – Donald R. Lipps, 66, of Coshocton, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home.

Don was born on December 27, 1952 to the late C.W. and Elizabeth (Thompson) Lipps in Dumas, Texas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stone Container for many years and then for a number of years at Coshocton Grain. Don was a dog lover and an avid OSU fan. While he loved OSU football, his favorite sport was OSU wrestling.  Don was an honest man who touched many lives because he went out of his way to help others. His quick wit and humor made lasting impressions on everyone who met him.  Don will be missed for the generous, honest, and fun-loving soul that he was.

Don is survived by his wife, Elaine, two sons, Aaron (Jamie) and Joshua (Celeste) Lipps, three grandchildren, Avery, C.J., and Jackson Lipps, one brother, Rick (Yumiko) Lipps, one sister, Sandi (John) Guinther, one uncle, Jack Lipps, many nieces and nephews, and two beloved dogs, Chloe and Milo.

Per Don’s wishes, a cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
