Donald W. McPherson, 79, of West Lafayette, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Don was born in West Lafayette, Ohio on June 10, 1943, to the late Frank and Willa (Johnson) McPherson. He attended Ridgewood High School and retired from Pretty Products after 43 years of service. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp and was a life member of the V.F.W. 1330 and Eagles #761.

Family was Don’s number one priority, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Don and his wife Carol enjoyed gardening, traveling, and going on vacations together.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Arron) McPherson whom he married Oct. 22, 1966; two sons, Scott (Jacquline) McPherson and Shane McPherson, both of West Lafayette; one daughter, Melissa (Rob) Jones of West Lafayette; six grandchildren, Megan (Tony) Reisinger, Adam (Ruth) McPherson, Chase (Crystal) Jones, Colby Jones, Dillion (Kayla) McPherson and Devin McPherson; eight great-grandchildren, Westin Reisinger, Elliot Reisinger, Clarke McPherson, Coen Jones, Caleb Smith, Preslee Walace, Bella McPherson and Alaylah McPherson; two sisters, Barbara Huffman of Zanesville and Sarah Stantz of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank McPherson and two sisters, Mary Jane Grove and Wanda Moffitt.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Funeral services for Don will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Lloyd Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
