To Our Everything, Donna Evelyn Sadler (May 31st, 1955- October 18th, 2023),

We say goodbye to the wife, the mother, the rock of our family, our biggest support, the greatest person we will ever know. Our world will never be the same. Our family forever incomplete.

You lived a prolific life based on “you get what you give” and you spent your entire life focused on the needs and wants of others. Your love was selfless and unconditional. When someone felt your love, they knew you would always be in their corner and did not have to fight battles alone. Your authenticity and kindness can get anyone to share their lives with you and you never leave a room going unforgotten. You became an expert in anything you set your mind to, always knew what was right and would not let anything stand in your way.

We will never forget the memories we made together, which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. You deserve to be here with us to pamper your grandkids, craft with your girls, spoil us with your renowned recipes, teach us how to navigate the complexities of life, call us every night, give us advice, see Shannon graduate with her masters, and, what hurts the most, grow old with us.

We will try to make sense of it. Was your presence too much for this world and is that why you were taken from us so soon? Or is life just that unfair and unkind, and somehow, we have to find comfort in that? Despite our questions, one thing we know for sure, we are the luckiest to have lived a life with you in it, rather than not having you at all. We know that if you were here, you would know all the right things to say to make us feel better.

We will spend the rest of our lives remembering you each day. We promise to keep your memory vivid by sharing your traditions, retelling your stories, and reliving our memories. We still feel you here and believe you are watching over us. You are our angel now. The rest of our lives is too long without you.

We promise to “always remember.”

We love you to pieces,

Paul and your girls, Shannon & Lauren
