Doris Johnston Totsch DeBertram, 93, passed away peacefully at Windsorwood Place on July 12, 2018. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio, June 8, 1925 to the late Eva (Nethers) and Chester Johnston.  She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1943 and earned her R. N. degree from the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1946.  Her greatest passion was her 43-year nursing career.  Her first 33 years were spent at Coshocton Memorial Hospital.  She spent the majority of those years in Labor and Delivery then in the ER.  She jokingly claimed to have assisted at the birth of every child in Coshocton County during the ’50s and ’60s.  She concluded her career with 10 years at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.  She was first married to Bill Totsch.  In 1979 she moved to Florida where she met her second husband, Don DeBertram, who preceded her in death.  She resided in Pass-A-Grille Beach, Florida for 35 years until her return to Coshocton in 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Hoffman, who would like to thank the staff of Windsorwood Place and Community Hospice for their loving care of her mother. There will be no calling hours and a memorial service in her beloved Florida Gulf Coast community will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts can be sent to Golden Endings Golden Retriever Rescue 1043 Elmwood Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
