Dorothy E. Richard
WALHONDING – Dorothy Eileen (Booth) Richard, 89, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1928 in Licking Co. to the late William and Anna (Moran) Booth. She was a bus driver for River View Local School District for 33 years, and a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook, and was known for her homemade pies, many of which she donated for local fundraisers. She also enjoyed square-dancing. She was a former member of the Ohio Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, John Richard of Walhonding, whom she married in January 1972; her children, Robert Davis of Warsaw, Dick (Sheri) Davis of Newark, Don Davis of Newark, Lois Cores of Tulsa, OK, Jim Richard of Coshocton, and Johna Richard of Zanesville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Donna) Booth of Frazeysburg; two sisters-in-law, Leona Booth & Stella Gomez; and a daughter-in-law, Vickie Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Davis; a grandson, Brian Cores; two brothers, Roy & Earl Booth; two sisters, Alice (Paul) Redman and Betty (Carl) Shoemaker; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Calling hours are 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30th at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
