Dorothy Mae Swinehart

Dorothy Mae Swinehart, 96, a resident of Windsorwood Place died Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

She was born December 23, 1927 in Wayne County to the late Guy & Effie (McFadden) Myers.

Dorothy was a member of the Emanuel Old Stone Church in Congress, Ohio.  She was a lifelong resident of Wayne County until she moved to Windsorwood Place six years ago.  She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed knitting.  She loved her family and so enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids.  “Our tough little bird has flown away.”

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Dairel) Kaiser of Coshocton and Kathy (Peter) Linneman of Philadelphia, PA.  Grandsons, Adam (Lyndsey) Kaiser and Aaron (Angie) Kaiser.  Great grandchildren, Hunter, Hensley, Fini & T.J.  Also several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Swinehart, whom she married Oct. 4, 1946, he died in May of 1992.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fair Haven Cemetery in Lattasburg, OH with Pastor Dairel Kaiser officiating.
