E. Jack Irvine

WEST LAFAYETTE – E. Jack Irvine, 92, of West Lafayette, passed away on February 9, 2019 at Lafayette Pointe.

He was born in Gambier, Ohio in a log cabin on June 30, 1926 to the late Alfred and Ethel McRoberts. Jack served in the U.S. Navy for 19 years. He married the love of his life, Mary L. (Dickerson) Irvine, on February 14, 1991. Jack worked as an over-the-road truck driver for many years and he also worked for Vita Stat in Florida for five years. After he left Vita Stat, he went to work for National Health for eight years and then on to Coshocton Transit for three years before he retired. Jack graduated from Coshocton High School in 2002.

Jack is survived by his nephew J. Bud (Marilyn) Halada.

Along with his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his sister, Mary K. Deulley, and his beloved wife, Mary L. Irvine.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 pm with Pastor Carl Cutlip officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
