Ednamae Jones

Ednamae Jones, 89, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born on February 13, 1932, in Coshocton County to the late Gernard and Mary (Hawsman) Renner.

Ednamae graduated from Roscoe High School in 1953 and then married James Jones on Oct. 24, 1953. In 1968, she graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in nursing. She then graduated with a master’s degree in nursing administration while living in Maine.

She was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She and her husband Jim were known as “Free Birds” and enjoyed camping, hiking, sailing, and archery. They both were active volunteers at Roscoe Village with Ednamae volunteering over 2,000 hours.

Ednamae is survived by her nieces and nephews, Edward, Beverly, Max, Chris, Lee, Stormy, Tracy, and Rex and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband Jim, Ednamae is preceded in death by her sister, Arline Renner-Stoecker, brother, William “Buzz” Renner and nephew, William “Billy” Renner Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Roscoe Cemetery.
