Edward C. Bullens

Edward C. Bullens, age 90, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1934, in Somerville, Massachusetts, to the late Fred and Louise (Ivester) Bullens.

Ed was a 1951 graduate of Wooster High School and on June 27, 1953, he married Sally (Burkholder) Bullens. Ed was the owner and operator of Special Packaging in Coshocton from 1976 until his retirement in 2010.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton. Ed was bigger than life, lighting up a room with his laughter and smile. He was well loved by family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s, being on the computer and following the stock market. Ed will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Ed is survived by his wife of 71 years, Sally Bullens of Coshocton; daughter Cindy (Tom) Howard of Farmersville, TX, daughter-in-law, Connie Bullens of Coshocton; grandson Ben (Jenny) Stahl and their son, Miles Edward; step-grandchildren, Jamie Hoy, Christopher Hoy and his children, Quinn and Hunter, Rebecca (Dave) Fitzgerald and their children, Rachel, Laurel and Dawson, Brian (Lisa) Howard and their children, Dylan and Taylor, Matt (Kym) Howard and their children, Bryce and Karsyn; and cousin Carole Crites.

Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Frederick “Fred” Bullens and sister, Shirley Franks.

A private burial will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12:30 pm at the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton, 142 N. 4th St., in the Chapel with Pastor Dairel Kaiser officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Church. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
