Eleanor E. Holmes

Holmes PicCOSHOCTON – Eleanor E. Holmes, 85, of Coshocton passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Signature Healthcare in Coshocton.  She was born in Wills Creek to the late Noah and Mildred (Welling) Perkins.

She worked at Ohio Fabricators and was the owner of Buckeye Bottled Gas.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, she loved sewing, crocheting, fishing, tending to her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her daughters Barbara (Larry) Albertson, Debra (Bernard) Gill, Betty (Edward) Dunfee; step daughter Judy Sherman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Wade J. Holmes whom passed away December 18, 1978; daughter Nancy A. Northrup; son Donald D. Holdsworth; step daughter Rebecca L. Arnott; and siblings Betty, Marilyn, and Daniel Perkins.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Eleanor will be held Friday at 11:00AM with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be directed to Community Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
