Elsie Housinger
Elsie Housinger, 99, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton.
She was born July 19, 1921 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of John Livera and Ellen Marie Jorgensen. She played and enjoyed many sports, including basketball and especially tennis. She loved gardening and caring for her many dogs, most recently “Toby” & “Kimberly”.
Elsie is survived by her husband, Charles Housinger of Fresno, whom she married in 2004; three daughters, Janet (Jeff) Burrell, Joyce (John) Wieseman, and Nancy (Jim) Whitmore; a son, Carl Beck; her grandchildren, Heather (Pamphile) Akpata, Andrew Burrell, Natalie Burrell, Katie Leary, Geoff Whitmore, Richard Whitmore, Ted Wieseman, Stephanie Wieseman, Fred Wieseman, and Nick Wiseman; great-grandchildren, Lara, Nikolas, Harper, Cassie, Zach, Alexander, & Erin.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Bergstrom and Clarence “Dan” Daamgard; and her former husbands, Ernest Beck, Francis Walbrect, and Roy Ewing, and a grandson, Chris Wieseman.
Per Elsie’s wishes, a cremation will take place and there will be no services. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
