Esther Bernadine Hiser

Esther Bernadine Hiser, 98, of Coshocton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. She was born on Sept. 26, 1922 in Coshocton to the late John and Lucy (Boyer) Lahna.

Esther worked for Pretty Products for several years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; loved to crochet and read and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

On June 16, 1943 she married Jesse Hiser who preceded her in death in 2011.

Esther is survived by her four children, Mary Ann (Timothy) Mueller of Cincinnati, Carol Hiser of Columbus, Margaret (Horace “Jay”) Gillett of Goldsboro, NC and John Hiser of El Camano Island WA; two grandchildren, Benjamin Mueller and Amanda (Wayne) Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Colin Rogers; and two sisters, Rita Myers and Rose Shaw.

Along with her parents and husband, Esther is preceded in death by her five siblings, Charles Lahna, Jesse Lahna, Mary Guinther, Gene Lahna and Harold “Chick” Lahna.

A graveside service was held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery with Father Victor R. Wesolowski officiating.
