Ettafaye Bucy

Ettafaye Fern (Fawcett) Bucy, 93, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Monday November 8, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton.

She was born September 19, 1928 in Coshocton Co. to the late Forrest Rexall and Ethel Fern (Cunningham) Fawcett. She was married to Robert T. Bucy on June 4, 1946, who preceded her in death on August 12, 2006.

Ettafaye was a cook for the Union Local School District and a Beautician for 35 years. She was a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church and the Pythian Sisters. She was active at church as a past Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher, and Bible School director & teacher.

She was a tutor at Union Elementary, and worked for the Board of Elections for several years. She loved entertaining and cooking for family & friends. She enjoyed bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes, line dancing, walking, and traveling with Bob and her friends.

Ettafaye is survived by a son, Robert L. (Karen) Bucy of Warsaw; a granddaughter, Heather Twarog of Coshocton; great-grandson, Braxton Twarog of Coshocton; two sisters, Irma Romine of Newark, and Fran Phillips of The Villages, FL ; sisters-in-law, Bess Ellen Fawcett of Indiana, and Nancy Fawcett of Dresden; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special cousin, Cathy (Rick) Hudson of Coshocton; and special friends, Gary & Susan Haines of Warsaw.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Brett Bucy; and two brothers, Forrest A. Fawcett and Harold Fawcett.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw, with Wayne Reynolds officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
