Eva June Kiser

Eva June Kiser, age 97, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, with her daughter and grandchildren by her side. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on June 10, 1927, to the late Willis and Vina (Thomas) Bryant.

On November 15, 1946, she married Kenneth E. Kiser who passed away on April 1, 1983.

Eva June worked for Dr. R. Dale Smith as a dental assistant for 9 years and Ohio Fabricators for 24 years. On June 1, 1967, she joined the Coshocton Business and Professional Women (BPW) group, serving actively for 58 years. In 2007, Eva June was honored at the State Conference as a BPW State Legend and in 2010, was named the Coshocton BPW Member of the Year. While her brothers and father served in WWII, she entertained the wounded troops with the Moose Minstrel as her contribution. In her years with the BPW and The Grange, she was always the one in charge of entertainment, that was her passion.

She was a member of Tyndall United Methodist Church, the VFW #2040, the Coshocton Moose and the Bethlehem Grange where she taught youth square dancing. Eva June and her husband were very active in the Warsaw Belles and Beaux square dance club for years and Eva June gave lessons and even called dances.

Eva June loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing with her twin brother Gene when they were younger, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Eva June never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

Eva June is survived by her daughter, Tomma (Rodger) Bordenkircher of Coshocton, two grandchildren, Shawn (Molly) Bordenkircher and Stacie (Jake) Lahna both of Coshocton. Five great-grandchildren, Emily Alexander, Ben Bordenkircher, Kaitlyn Lahna, Kassidy Lahna, Karlie (fiancé Kyle Bethel) Lahna; one great-great-grandson, Kingston Alexander and her former sister-in-law, Doris Bryant Casey.

Along with her parents and husband, Eva June is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shannon Bordenkircher, brothers, George, Charles, William, John and Gene Bryant and sisters, Opal Brady and Edna Wilde.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm with Deacon Doug Mould officiating. Burial will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
