Face painting fun

| July 26, 2019

COSHOCTON – Victory Byrom, 4, and Glory Byrom, 3, enjoyed the face painting station at the Hopewell Industries track and field event. “We wanted to have a get together for the community that was fun and free,” said Javanna Ramsey from Hopewell Industries. The event was held July 26 at Hopewell School. It included lunch and events for all ages. Also for $1, attendees had the chance to drop Ramsey into a dunk tank. All money raised will go to buy school supplies for local children. “We have been doing this (buying school supplies) for a few years now and have raised a couple hundred dollars,” Ramsey said. “We just want to help kids in the community.”

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
