Fairgrounds to feature Christmas lights display
Volunteers from Lucky Learners 4 – H Club were busy hanging Christmas lights around the Coshocton County fairgrounds on Sunday, Nov. 29, in preparation for the Christmas Magic in Lights drive through light display that will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 6-9 p.m.
D. Woodward-Wells said that, so far, about 25 groups have signed up to bring light displays to the fairgrounds that night. The drive through is by donation and all money will go to the Coshocton Firefighters’ Toy Drive.
“Any amount will help – there is no set donation. We know this year has been really tough on the community and wanted to bring something magical to the fairgrounds,” she said.
They have already received a large donation and hope to help children in the community have a wonderful Christmas. The community is asked to enter the fairgrounds at the main gate at the corner of Seventh Street and Kenilworth Avenue. The drive will wind through the fairgrounds and exit onto Eighth Street. Santa Claus will be there, but everyone is asked to remain in their vehicles.
