Fall activities coming to a close in Coshocton County

| October 22, 2018

COSHOCTON COUNTY – This autumn has been filled with fun-filled activities to enjoy in Coshocton County, but there’s still more to come! As autumn winds down and the holiday season comes closer, don’t miss out on these fun fall activities before it’s too late.

Schumaker Farms

No autumn is complete without a trip to a pumpkin patch. This is the last weekend for Schumaker Farms’ Fall Harvest Days Fun on the Farm where families can pick their own pumpkin from noon to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $5 per carload and includes picking the perfect pumpkin and other fun activities. Take a hayride up to the field of pumpkins to choose just the right pumpkin for your Halloween jack-o-lantern this year or for the perfect pumpkin dessert. Other activities include a barn straw maze, playing in the corn in the grain bin, sliding down their huge slide, visiting with the animals, a corn maze for kids, hamster wheels, and many other fun fall-related games available as well. Food is also available for purchase and there are many picture opportunities set up throughout the grounds. Pumpkins are $0.30 a pound.

Clary Gardens

Get outside and enjoy the chilly October weather with family and friends this weekend at the Clary Gardens Scarecrow Walking Trail. The trail is free to the public and will be open until Wednesday, Oct. 31. The trail features a wide-variety of creative, fun, and maybe a little spooky scarecrows created by area businesses. Be sure to vote for your favorite scarecrow by sending a selfie with your scarecrow of choice to Clary Gardens. Visit www.clarygardens.org/contact or visit their Facebook page to vote for your favorite. Open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Visit Historic Roscoe Village to see even more scarecrows.
