Father’s Day mug-decorating class for kids at museum

| May 19, 2017

COSHOCTON – A Father’s Day mug-decorating class for kids 5 years and older will be at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on June 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Kids will have fun creating a personalized Father’s Day present for dad and every dad will love it whether he drinks coffee or hot chocolate or just wants to admire it as a keepsake. Class instructor Rachel Hall (Hillbippie Clay) will share some simple designs that may be used or adapted as each artist desires. After the mugs are fired, they will be returned to the museum for pick-up.

Cost for the class is $25. Children under seven years will need an adult helper. Reservations with payment must be received by June 2. At the time of payment, please select the clay color you prefer—white or brown. Payment may be made through the museum’s website www.jhmuseum.org, by phone or in person. Museum business hours are 9 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, contact the museum at 740-622-8710 or email jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org.

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located at 300 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton. The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this event with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
