Fifth Annual Hero Hustle announced
Come join #orangeandblackgetfit and Operations Veterans Helping Veterans for their Fifth Annual Hero Hustle 5k Walk and Run. To celebrate five years, this year’s event will be a color run.
All proceeds will go directly to support the veterans and the #orangeandblackgetfit team in order to continue both non-profit programs. All veterans are free. Contact Autumn Hendershot to show proof of service. Children 9 and under are free (shirt not included).
This event will be held on Saturday, May 7, at Cy Young Memorial Park in Newcomerstown. Come between 8:20-8:40 a.m. to pick up your shirt and to register last minute if needed at the pavilion in front of the Cy Young Pool. Parking will be at the park near the pool and baseball field.
Please register online prior to Sunday, May 1 to secure your spot and a shirt. Fee is $30. Those registering the morning of the race will not be guaranteed a shirt. The opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. with the Newcomerstown American Legion and Operations Veterans Helping Veterans. The walk and run will then start at 9 a.m. and will end at 10 a.m. All participants will receive water and a snack. The rain date will be on Saturday, May 14.

If you would rather not walk or run in the 5k and still would like to purchase a shirt, please message her. All shirt orders need to be messaged by Wednesday, April 20. (Adult tee or muscle tank $25, youth tee $20). Payments can be cash, check, or VENMO.
