Final Downtown Farmers Market of season this Saturday
COSHOCTON – This Saturday, Oct. 27, 8:30 a.m. to noon, will be the final market of the season for Coshocton Farmers Market, as “Christmas at the Market” continues. Vendors will offer late-season produce and special holiday products.
Items for sale will include colorful wreaths and hand-painted plaques, homemade soaps, lip balms, natural salves, body scrubs and butters, Norwex cleaning cloths and supplies, hanging kitchen towels, dishcloths, pot holders, baby bibs, tote bags, and more.
Market bakers and cooks will bring homemade pies, cookies and bars, cutout cookies, peanut brittle and fudge, tea breads, and other sweets. And it’s a great time to stock up on honey, homemade jams and spreads for the winter.
Fresh produce will include broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes, salad greens, Brussels sprouts, peppers, onions, Swiss chard, and more.
Sweet potatoes are highly nutritious and satisfying. This recipe from Allrecipes.com is perfect for fall.
