Fireworks at fairgrounds to kick-off your Fourth of July holiday
COSHOCTON – Start your Fourth of July holiday off right with fireworks at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 3. This year’s Freedom Celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with gates opening at 4 p.m. Stroll through the midway where there will be multiple inflatables for kids to play. At 5:30 p.m., don’t miss Acme Music’s performance complete with face painting. They will perform until 7:30 p.m. when Blackhand Hooch with lead singer Justin Giesey takes the stage.
Cost is by donation only that will go toward next year’s firework show. Only the Seventh Street entrance will be open for vehicle traffic. The Eighth Street entrance to the fairgrounds will be open to foot traffic only.
Fireworks will begin at approximately 10 p.m.
“Adam Fischer and Dean Hettinger put on extreme pyrotechnics,” said Mary Knicely, fairboard secretary. “The show lasts around 30 minutes and will be set to music over WTNS.”
Outside food and drinks are prohibited as there will be multiple food vendors on-site. After the show, all gates at the fairgrounds will be open.
“REACT will be here and will be opening all the gates,” said Knicely. “They did an awesome job last year. We had every car out in about half an hour.”
Rain date for the show is Thursday, July 4. For more information, find them on Facebook at Freedom Celebration.
