First act of 3 announced for Coshocton Downtown Concert Series

| March 30, 2022

Our Town Coshocton and Councilman Chad Johnson announced the first performance to kick off the downtown concert series this summer.

The nation’s leading Foreigner Tribute Band, Double Vision – The Foreigner Experience will perform on Saturday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. on Main Street, in downtown Coshocton. Featuring some of New York’s most esteemed musicians, including lead singer Chandler Mogel, who is a professional studio vocalist who’s performed on upwards of 400 songs and over 25 albums, Double Vision is renowned for delivering the highest level of integrity and technical prowess, resulting in a legitimate tribute and genuine performance. During this unforgettable performance, the band will play Foreigner’s biggest hits from their 10 multi-platinum albums released throughout the 70s and 80s. From the rock n’ roll classics like “Juke Box Hero,” and “Cold As Ice” to the romantic ballads that they became known for like “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” Double Vision covers all the bases.

Earlier in the day, Our Town Coshocton and The Coshocton Art Guild will be holding its inaugural community event, Off the Walk: Art and Artisan Pop-up Market, on Fourth Street between Main and Chestnut streets. Double Vision will cap off a day that is anticipated to bring residents and visitors alike to Coshocton’s historic downtown.

“With the successful launch of our designated outdoor refreshment area, that saw crowd sizes of a thousand for St. Patrick’s Day, we are expecting this concert to exceed past performances downtown. We are thrilled to be welcoming Double Vision – The Foreigner Experience to our community on June 25. Following our joint event with the Coshocton Art Guild earlier in the day, Double Vision will make the 25th of June a priority for anyone to block off on their calendar,” said Lanny Spaulding, executive director OTC.

Subsequent concert acts will take place on Saturday, July 16 and Friday, Aug. 5, following the Three Rivers Fire District Car Show and First Farm Friday respectively. These will be announced in the future at an appropriate time, as OTC coordinates with those event hosts.

This free concert series is made possible by a $40,000 contribution from The Charles E. and Dorothy S. Bechtol Fund through the Coshocton Foundation.
