Floyd M. Zickefoose
Floyd M. Zickefoose, 89, of Conesville, passed away on March 21, 2025 at Altercare of Coshocton with his granddaughter, Jessica by his side. He was born on October 1, 1935 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Asa Webster and Minnie B. (Tenney) Zickefoose. On April 14, 1957, he married Garnett Alice McVay, who passed away on December 16, 2019.
Floyd had worked at many places throughout his life. He had worked at the St. Regis Paper Mill and he was a former trustee for Virginia Township. His final job was for the Schooler Family as a property caretaker and landscaper. Floyd could always be found either on his tractor or in his garage. He was always busy from sunrise to sunset. He loved tractors, going to auctions and collecting antiques. His granddaughter Kristi said it best, “Grandpa lived a great life.”
Floyd is survived by two daughters, Kay (Terry) Napier and Cathy Zickefoose and her partner, Harlan “Sonny” Stebbins. Grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Napier, Kristin McCallin and Justin Zickefoose. Great grandchildren, Noah Napier and Ethan McCallin.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; a son, Floyd W. Zickefoose; a grandson, Joshua Zickefoose; brothers, Guy, Glenn, Melvin and Marvin and sisters, Margene, Gladys, Agnes and Dorothy.
A cremation will take place with the Miller Funeral Home and Crematory.
