Footlight Players postpone musical showcase

| January 27, 2022

The Footlight Players regretfully announce the cancellation of the performances of, “Musical Showcase 2022: Celebrating the Tonys,” scheduled for Feb. 4-5 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Triple Locks Theater.

According to Director Sheila Mayse, “Live theater has struggled so much to re-gain footing during these uncertain times. Unfortunately, our community theater has not been exempted from those struggles. Despite our best efforts, complications related to illnesses and weather delays/cancellations have made it necessary to cancel the performances for next weekend. This extremely talented cast has worked so hard to put this show together and were so excited about presenting this show to the community. We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision. However, we know health and safety concerns must take priority at this time. It is our plan to postpone the show until the summer, with the re-scheduled dates to be released as soon as possible.”

The Footlight Players, a non-profit organization, has been operating in Coshocton for more than 70 years. The next production, Nana’s Naughty Knickers, is scheduled for March 11-12, 18-19, 25-26 at 7:30 p.m. and March 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Triple Locks Theater. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased online anytime at www.footlightplayers.com. The box office phone lines open on Feb. 18. Patrons wishing to purchase tickets may leave a message at 740-622-2959 and will receive a return phone call from box office staff within 24 hours.
