Former OSU athlete to speak at RVHS baccalaureate
WARSAW – The River View Ministerial Association is happy to announce the speaker for the 2015 River View Baccalaureate Service is Roy Hall.
Hall is a Cleveland native and attended Charles F. Brush High School where he was a football and basketball standout. He attended The Ohio State University on a full athletic scholarship. He was a member of the 2002 National Championship Team. While maintaining a 3.2 GPA, Hall obtained a degree in marketing and was also a five time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete Award winner. The Indianapolis Colts selected Hall in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft. Hall spent four seasons playing for the Colts and Detroit Lions.
In 2008, Hall established the Driven Foundation with a goal of impacting the world, one life at a time through outreach events, mentorship programs and inspirational speaking. Since 2008 Hall and Driven Foundation have proudly distributed more than 550,000 pounds of free food to Central Ohio families. Additionally, the IMAGE mentoring program for young men, birthday parties for children facing life threatening illnesses, motivational speaking, and charity basketball game fundraisers for other Ohio organizations are just a few vehicles in which the Driven Foundation impacts the lives of Ohio families and young adults.
The River View High School Baccalaureate Service is at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, in the high school auditorium. Refreshments will be served following the service in the school cafeteria.
