Four wheeler accident reported

WEST LAFAYETTE – On Feb. 19 at approximately 1:23 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a four wheeler accident with injuries close to the waste treatment plant in West Lafayette.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that 32-year-old Kolt Daugherty of West Lafayette was traveling east in a corn field and lost control of the four wheeler. Daugherty ramped a ditch and lost control of the Honda Rancher four wheeler and rolled it a couple times. Daugherty was ejected off the four wheeler and was not wearing a helmet.

Daugherty was flown from the scene by Med Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus. His condition is unknown at this time.

Assisting at the scene was West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS and Med Flight.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
