Gary LeRoy Bethel
Gary LeRoy Bethel, 87, of West Lafayette passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home. He was born in Glouster, Ohio on February 20, 1935 to the Otto and Garnett (DeLong) Bethel.
Gary had previously worked in the coal mines, was a mechanist for King Cars, and Fairmont Foods of Coshocton before retiring. He was a member of the Coshocton Moose and a lifetime member of the Coshocton Eagles. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, playing cards, and playing baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Powell) Bethel, who he married June 24, 1960; children Roger (Donna) Smith, Mary Bethel, Marie (Mark) Cutlip, and LeRoy (Melissa) Bethel; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; brother Lanny (Betty) Bethel; and sister Judy (Herb) Algeo – Nowack.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Mona Bethel.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Ed Rexroad officiating.
