Gayla Smith and the Wild Mouse Headline for Concert at Buckeye Lake

BUCKEYE LAKE – Buckeye Lake Museum will host Music and Art in the Park on Sunday, July 23 at Buckeye Lake from 1 – 7 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the Buckeye Lake Museum with proceeds going to operating costs. The outside event will be in the grassy area next to the Buckeye Lake boat yard on St Rt. 79 next to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Music and Art in the Park will feature music from local singers with Lee Gilkerson taking the stage at 2 p.m. followed by Brandon Crawford at 4 p.m. Local musician and artist Gayla Smith and the Wild Mouse band will take the stage at 6 p.m. Smith has formed a band for this event that include Gayla, Mike Nelson, Reid Matthew Coleman, Gregg Shively and Kevin Gorham. The music and sound production is headed up by another local favorite Randy “Do-Rag” Cobun.

There will be a beer garden with food provided by Mt Airy Food Truck with Ben and Trina Carpenter of Perry County. Art vendors will be there to sell their local crafts and art pieces.  Guests to the event are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets sit on. Admission to the concert is free but there is a charge for admission to the beer garden.

The concert is being sponsored by The Licking County Foundation, Explore Licking County and Coughlin Toyota.
