George E. Worthington

CONESVILLE – George E. Worthington, 72, of Conesville passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Coshocton on November 5, 1945 to the late Harry and Liddie (Lillibridge) Worthington.

He worked as a mechanic, coal miner, and retired from AK Steel. He loved woodworking and watching the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

George is survived by his children Alan (Christine) Worthington of West Lafayette and Shelly (Jeremy) Wade of Conesville; grandchildren Hannah (Michael) Moore , Jarred Wade, Jeremy Wade Jr., and Kyle Wade; great grandchildren Parker, Zeaven, and Paizley Moore and Emmett, Aben, Camden, Cora and Carson Wade; siblings Beverly Wright of Indiana and Annabelle Walker of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Touvell) Worthington whom passed away October 31, 2015; siblings David, Richard, and Inez Lillibridge, William Worthington, Kathryn Newell, and Helen McCoy.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for George will be held Wednesday at 11:00am with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Conesville Fire Station; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
