Gloria Lindig

Gloria Lindig, age 80, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born on December 29, 1943 in Charleston, WV. to the late Ernest and Lucille (Hastings) Thompson. On October 20, 1962, she married Loren Lindig, who survives. She was a longtime member of the Village Baptist Church in West Lafayette and was dedicated to her faith. When she was able, she was very active in the church. She was a member of the choir and a prayer warrior. Having a pray list of family and friends she needed to pray for. She was also a member of the Eagles. Loren and Gloria had a dog named Jasper, who was near and dear to their heart.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons, Loren (Carrie) Lindig II and John (Tammy) Lindig; grandchildren, Nancy (DJ), Loren III, Laura, John Paul II, Jared (Natalie) and Jadn; great grandchildren, Jonathan and Achilles and her siblings, Shirley Reed, Bonnie Mitchell, Bill Rookstool and Gerry Pratt as well as close family member, Jennifer Lindig.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Thompson and great granddaughter, Castielle.

Private family services will be held and burial will be at Fairfield Cemetery.
