Good Boy Bakery plans expansion
A popular business is expanding at the Roscoe General Store building in Historic Roscoe Village. Good Boy Bakery, owned and operated by Brad and Cathy Fuller, has been operating in a portion of that building for the past five years. That business is expanding into a larger portion of that building.
“Since 2017 when we started our business in Roscoe Village, we have grown considerably each year,” Brad said. “In 2019 we moved to our current and larger location but found that we still needed additional room. When the opportunity arose that would allow us to grow within the same building, we knew the time was right to do so.”
The Fullers say they have big plans for the additional space. “We plan to expand the Good Boy Bakery brand into the room currently occupied by Abigail Birch,” Brad said. “This will allow us to offer so many more products than we currently do. We plan to expand our cat inventory as well.”
The Fullers say they plan to retain traditional aspects of the Roscoe General Store. “We are so excited to carry on a tradition in The General Store that has existed for so many years in Roscoe Village,” Brad said. “The General Store will remain under its current model including several new items.”
The Roscoe General Store building was built in 1870 by John Barkhurst as a drug store and general store. It has been an iconic building and store in Roscoe Village ever since and even more so since the restoration of the village in the late 1960s and early 70s.
The Mckenna family acquired the building in March of 2016 and did extensive renovations prior to reopening later that spring. Teri McKenna Misener says she is thrilled to see the expansion of the Good Boy Bakery business in the building. “They have been a great tenant in our building all these years, and it’s been exciting to see them grow their business over that time,” Misener said. “When they were asking us about more space to expand, our family decided to vacate the portion of the building we had been operating to allow for the expansion of their awesome local business.”
The Fullers say they plan to have both the expanded Good Boy Bakery and the Roscoe General Store fully operational by the beginning of February 2023. Good Boy Bakery and The Roscoe General Store are located at 348 – 350 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton (Roscoe Village).
