Gregory M. Cox Sr.
Gregory M. Cox Sr., age 73, of Conesville, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, with his wife and beloved dog by his side. He was born on April 5, 1951, in Coshocton, to the late James F. and M. Wanetta (Whiteus) Cox Sr.
He was a 1969 graduate of River View High School and worked as a mechanic and in maintenance. On June 6, 1969, he married Cheryl (Parks) Cox who survives.
Greg was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, the Eagles, the Coshocton Moose, a member of UMWA local #1188 and the Masonic Lodge. He was famous for his 67’ RS emerald turquois Camaro! He enjoyed working, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with his great-granddaughter, Emery.
Along with his wife of 54 years, Greg is survived by his son, Gregory M. (Heather) Cox Jr., grandchildren, Brandon (Heather Maxwell) Cox and Haley (Brodie) Journey; great-granddaughter, Emery Journey; brother, James F. Cox Jr., sister-in-law, Cindy Parks; and nephews and niece, Jeff (Burgundy Stroup) Cox, Toby (Wendy) Koeller, and Jana Koeller.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Flay and Glenna (Broadwater) Parks, sister-in-law, Trish Cox and nephew, Neil Cox.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at South Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bob Mitchell and Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
